Teenage motorcyclist killed in accident in Clermont County

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – A teenage motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Clermont County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. Friday on Smith Road in Goshen Township, the patrol said in a press release.

According to preliminary OSP investigations, the juvenile was riding a 2003 Honda CBR600F motorcycle northbound on Smith Road when he veered off the right side of the road, struck a culvert and then overturned.

The teenager suffered serious injuries and was taken to Bethesda North Hospital by emergency services.

He was later taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

He was wearing a helmet when the accident occurred, OSP says.

The accident remains under investigation.
