Three people arrested in Columbus police raid

COLUMBUS, Georgia (WTVM) – Three people wanted on multiple charges were arrested during a police operation in Columbus.

The Columbus Police Department's Fugitive Unit, in cooperation with several agencies and departments, conducted a warrant raid on Wednesday, focusing on high-crime areas, authorities said in a news release Friday.

An arrest warrant was issued against 46-year-old Isa Brooks for assault and aggravated assault. An arrest warrant was issued against 55-year-old James Smith for burglary.

There are several arrest warrants against 31-year-old Lend Inson:

  • Third degree cruelty to children (3 arrest warrants)
  • Serious bodily harm (2 arrest warrants)
  • Terrorist threats (5 arrest warrants)
  • Convicted felon in possession of a firearm
  • Bodily harm (2 arrest warrants)
  • Burglary
  • Second degree property damage
  • Possession of a firearm during a crime (2 arrest warrants)
  • Aiming a weapon

According to police, Linson barricaded himself in his Farley Homes home. Following the action, Linson was charged with two additional counts: obstruction of justice and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The Columbus Police Department's drone unit used state-of-the-art technology to arrest him. Watch video of the drone footage below:
