Man charged with murder after fatal shooting near homeless camp

A man is now accused of a fatal shooting this week near homeless encampments in south Minneapolis.

Joshua Anthony Jones, 36, is charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

Jones is accused of killing 39-year-old Robert Brown near East 25th Street and Bloomington Avenue on Wednesday afternoon.

Police believe Jones killed 20-year-old Roland Littleowl and injured a man near a camp a few blocks away earlier in the day.

Authorities say he shot a fourth man later that night before being arrested. The motive is unclear.
