The Old Farmer's Almanac's Arizona winter weather predictions for 2024

Arizona, are you ready for winter weather and cool temperatures? Well, you're in luck.

After this summer was recorded as the hottest in Phoenix's history, accompanied by a series of sweltering days with temperatures over 100 degrees, fall is just around the corner – and with it a hopefully respite from the sweltering weather in what has become known as America's hottest big city.

Even though winter is still a few months away, the Old Farmer's Almanac has predicted what weather, including snow, rain, and temperatures, to expect throughout the Grand Canyon State in winter 2024.

Here is the Old Farmer's Almanac's weather forecast for this winter in Arizona.

When will winter arrive in 2024?

The first day of winter this year is Saturday, December 21st.

What kind of weather should residents expect this fall?

Even though the seasons change, longtime Phoenix residents know to expect temperatures of 100 degrees at least through early October.

This year, temperatures could fall below triple digits no earlier than mid-September, but most experts aren't sure if that will happen at all.
