Woman dies in car crash on Parkway West in Pittsburgh

According to state police, a woman was killed and two others injured in a car crash on the Parkway West in Pittsburgh overnight.

The police assume that the driver was impaired.

An Infiniti, driven by Jordan I. Bowyer, 23, of Pitcairn, was speeding west on the highway about 12:30 a.m. Saturday when the car crashed at the Boulevard of the Allies/Liberty Bridge exit, police said.

The passenger, Brooke R. Howard (20) from Pitcairn, died at the scene of the accident. A passenger in the back seat suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said.

Bowyer was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

No charges were filed Saturday morning.
