Monroe welcomes back Green County Cheese Days

MONROE, Wis. (WMTV) – What began as a single day celebrating cheese in 1914 has grown into a multi-day festival and the oldest food festival in the Midwest.

Green County Cheese Days will be held September 20-22, 2024. This family-friendly festival has been a mainstay of the Monroe community for over 100 years. This year, expect food, drinks, music, parades and more.

Green County Cheese Days begins on Friday, September 20th.

The festival will be held in downtown Monroe at the Green County Cheese Days festival grounds. Free parking and shuttles will be available to guests all weekend long.

The festival could always use more volunteers to make sure the weekend runs smoothly. You can sign up to help here.
