Chillicothe police report highlights recent incidents

Chillicothe, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) released its daily media report on September 21, 2024, detailing a number of incidents from the previous day.

Suspicious activities
At 12:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of four suspicious individuals in an alley at 171 N Bridge Street. No further details were released and the investigation is ongoing.

Burglary investigation
Shortly thereafter, at 12:44 a.m., police were dispatched to 1049 Columbus Street to take a burglary report. Investigators are currently actively investigating the incident.

Improper behavior and domestic disputes
At 12:44 a.m., officers also responded to a domestic dispute at the intersection of 4th and Paint Streets. At 3:41 a.m., a separate report of disorderly conduct involving a possible overdose was received at the Valero gas station on N Bridge Street.

Theft and drug possession
At 12:58 a.m., a theft was reported at 530 Arch Street, while at 1:57 a.m., officers stopped a bicyclist on Race Street, which led to a drug possession investigation.

Several arrest warrants executed
Throughout the morning, several people were arrested on outstanding warrants, including a woman who ran a red light and another who was identified at Oreilly Auto Parts on N Bridge Street. Angela Graves was arrested on several warrants, but was denied entry to the Ross County Jail because she had a medical issue related to intravenous drug use.

Traffic violations and domestic violence
There were several traffic stops, including one at 11:12 a.m. on E Main Street for driving while license suspended and one at 11:19 a.m. for a juvenile complaint. Reports of domestic violence also surfaced in the early afternoon.

Ongoing investigations
CPD is currently actively investigating several of these incidents, including reports of trespassing and assaults throughout the day.
