Accident on the motorway leads to traffic jams for kilometres

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is reporting a crash on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County. According to SCDOT, the crash occurred Saturday morning on southbound I-85 at Exit 82-Frontage Road near Cowpens, South Carolina. The crash backed up traffic for over three miles as of 10:45 a.m. WYFF has contacted the South Carolina Highway Patrol, but they have not gotten back to us. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not been called to the crash at this time.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC —

The South Carolina Department of Transportation reports an accident on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County.

According to SCDOT, the accident occurred Saturday morning on I-85 southbound at Exit 82-Frontage Road near Cowpens, South Carolina. The accident caused a traffic jam more than three miles long starting at 10:45 a.m.

WYFF reached out to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, but they have not gotten back to us.

The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office has not yet been called to the accident.
