Leicester City vs Everton: Premier League – BBC Sport

  • Leicester have won just 1 of their last 7 Premier League games against Everton (3 draws, 3 defeats): a 2-0 away win in November 2022.

  • 16 of the 34 Premier League meetings between Leicester and Everton have ended in draws, the highest percentage of all meetings in the competition that have been played more than 30 times (47%).

  • For only the fourth time, Leicester City failed to win any of their first four Premier League games of a season (D2, L2). They were relegated in all three previous seasons in which they failed to win any of their first four games: 1994–95, 2003–04 and 2022–23.

  • Everton have lost their first four league games of a season for only the third time in their history. This also happened in 1926/27 (first five) and 1958/59 (first six). They are only the third Premier League side to lose their first four games while conceding 13 or more goals. Swindon Town in 1993/94 and Southampton in 2012/13 (both conceded 14) were the third teams to lose their first four games.

  • Leicester City have won their last five Premier League home games against teams who started the day bottom of the table by an aggregate score of 17-1. The last 20th-placed side to avoid defeat at the King Power was Sean Dyche's Burnley in a 2-2 draw in October 2014.

  • Everton failed to win their first five Premier League games in 2022/23 (D3 L2) or 2023/24 (D1 L4). In Premier League history, Sunderland are the only team to fail to win their first five games in three consecutive seasons, having done so four times in a row between 2013/14 and 2016/17.

  • Everton were 2-0 up in each of their last two Premier League games, but then lost 3-2 to Bournemouth and Aston Villa respectively. This makes Everton only the second team in Premier League history to lose two games in a row after the Cherries in November 2022. No team has ever failed to win three games in a row when leading by two or more goals.

  • Wilfried Ndidi has provided three assists in his last two Premier League appearances for Leicester, as many as he had in his previous 62 top-flight games combined. He is only the second Foxes player to provide three assists in the first four Premier League games of a season, joining Marc Albrighton in the Foxes' championship-winning 2015/16 season.

  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in 14 Premier League defeats for Everton, including in his last two games against Bournemouth and Aston Villa. That is the highest number of games the Toffees have scored and lost in the competition, putting him one point ahead of Duncan Ferguson, who lost 13 times despite scoring for Everton.

  • Leicester's Jamie Vardy has been involved in 12 goals (9 goals, 3 assists) in his last eight Premier League games against teams that started the day bottom of the table and has scored seven goals in 14 games against Everton.
