1 dead after accident in north Phoenix, 2 others injured

PHOENIX — One person was killed and two others were injured in a traffic accident in north Phoenix, city police said.

Phoenix police officers responded to a multiple-injury accident near 15th Avenue and Bell Road.

When officers arrived on scene, they found three injured people. The Phoenix Fire Department said one person had to be rescued from the accident. All three were taken to a nearby hospital, but one did not survive.

Police said the area was closed in all directions during the investigation.
