Boca Raton murder suspect has a criminal record, we know that

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Boca Raton murder suspect Devante LaShawn Moss has a criminal history that stretches from South Florida to Tennessee, according to criminal and civil records reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com. Boca Raton police say Moss was arrested Saturday afternoon in Georgia. He is expected to face charges in the Friday afternoon murders of two hotel guests on Ocean Blvd. Read our coverage of the murders here.

Moss lives in the 1200 block of Coastal Bay Boulevard in Boynton Beach, which is part of the Coastal Bay community, according to records we reviewed against multiple databases. He has called this residence his “home” since April 2022. He used this address to register a business, Demariya Enterprises, LLC. He lists this business as his employer.

Over the past decade, Moss has listed addresses in Memphis, Tennessee; Coconut Creek, Florida; Los Angeles, California; Palm Springs, Florida; Delray Beach, Florida; and Lake Worth, Florida. He was arrested and later convicted in South Florida in 2014 for marijuana possession. Moss committed several traffic violations in South Florida in recent years and was cited for driving without a license in Shelby County, Tennessee, in September 2017. He was arrested at the scene, but charges were not pursued.

Moss does not have a strong social media presence. He is expected to be extradited to Boca Raton in the next few days to face two murder charges and one attempted murder charge.
