Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois, full results and schedule for the 2024 boxing match

WEMBLEY STADIUM, LONDON – In what is sure to be an incredible atmosphere, Anthony Joshua will fight to become a three-time heavyweight champion of the world when he faces IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois in front of 96,000 fans at London's Wembley Stadium on September 21. The 12-round fight plus preliminary fights will be broadcast by DAZN.

Despite being the challenger, Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) is the clear favorite. The 34-year-old boxer and puncher has won lucrative world championship fights over Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin and Andy Ruiz. Of all the elite fighters he has faced over the years, Oleksandr Usyk is the only man “AJ” has failed to defeat.

“[The Dubois fight] could last 12 rounds because I'm very determined and so is he,” Joshua said in a recent interview with The Sporting News. “Aside from boxing skills and power… it's your will. I'm at the point where you can hit me with a bulldozer and although I might take one step back, I'm taking two steps forward.”

“I have no doubt that I will become a three-time heavyweight world champion.”

Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) is fresh off the two best wins of his career to date. In December, the hard-hitting Londoner scored a 10th-round TKO over colossal American force Jarrell Miller before securing the interim IBF crown with an eighth-round win over previously unbeaten Filip Hrgovic in June. Despite the odds being stacked against him, the defending champion is confident he can spring an upset.

“Of course they are [underestimating me]. He's going to get the shock of his life,” Dubois said on Sky Sports. “I've got to make him give up, break him. That's my attitude when I go into it. Make him give up, break him. I think I can do that.”

Sporting News will provide the results of the preliminary fights and a full report of the main event from Wembley Stadium.

Joshua vs. Dubois pre-fight: Buatsi nears his world title, while Warrington hints at retirement

Former two-time IBF featherweight world champion Josh Warrington rose to 130 pounds as a challenge Anthony CacaceJoe Cordina's surprise winner in the Matchroom vs. Queensbury 5 vs. 5 fight in Riyadh earlier this year. Warrington (31-4-1) tried to set his typical blistering pace in the early rounds but was unable to maintain it as Cacace (23-1) kept him at bay with solid right hooks. The Northern Irishman was able to pull away in the middle rounds and took a unanimous points victory.

Cacace could now be an option for Warrington's old enemy Leigh Wood in 2025, while the 'Leeds Warrior' ended up leaving his gloves in the ring – an indication that he is ready to retire after a great career.

British light heavyweight Joshua Buatsi rose to 19-0 and dropped the Scottish left-hander William Hutchinson twice during a grueling 12-round fight. Hutchinson (18-2) showed incredible courage to reach the final bell despite a 113-112 verdict in his favor that was completely baffling. The cards, which favored Buatsi 117-108 and 115-110, granted the 31-year-old WBO mandatory status to face the winner of the undisputed fight between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev next month.

After four preliminary fights that went the full distance – Josh Padley decorated and angered the man who is considered Turki Alalshikh's “favorite fighter”, Mark Chamberlain before Josh Kelly shot past Liam Smith's late replacement Ismael Davis — rising middleweight star Hamzah Sheeraz made short work of Tyler Denny in main support. “Any 160 name, let's go. Let's go,” said a jubilant Sheeraz after two knockdowns in a second-round TKO that added the European title to his Commonwealth belt.
