Man allegedly exposed himself in front of mother and child in Walmart

Police are searching for a man accused of committing a sex act in front of a mother and her child at a Walmart shopping center in Oshawa.

Officials say the incident occurred on August 21 at around 10:30 a.m.

A man allegedly began following a mother and her child through the aisles of the store and then “committed an indecent sexual act,” police said in a statement released on Saturday.

The family left the store without physical injuries and called the police.

The suspect managed to flee the scene, but approximately 30 minutes later he was observed entering a sports facility near a school in the area of ​​Coldstream Drive and Harmony Road North.

A woman who was walking around 11:05 a.m. noticed the man coming in and walking in the opposite direction toward her.

The man circled the track several times before allegedly exposing his genitals to the woman.

She then left the track without any physical injuries and called the police.

The suspect is still at large and is described as a black male of medium build. He is between 6'2″ and 6'4″ tall and was last seen wearing a black cap, a cream/beige hoodie, black and white checkered pajama pants and black slippers.

Officers are calling on all witnesses to contact the police.
