Man in Lenoir County stopped for reckless driving, charged with drug offenses

LENOIR COUNTY, NC (WNCT) — A Wilmington man was arrested Wednesday morning after Lenoir County Sheriff's Office deputies seized 647 grams of marijuana and Schedule I narcotics in his vehicle.

25-year-old Ghani Shakur Glover was stopped for reckless driving near a boat ramp at 963 Hwy 11-55. When officers searched the vehicle, marijuana and chocolate mushrooms were found.

Glover was accused of:

  • Possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana

  • Serious Crime: Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substances

  • Aggravated possession of a Schedule I controlled substance

  • Reckless driving

  • Failure to fasten seat belt

Glover was given a $5,000 secured bond.
