Serious crash and snowy conditions close part of Highway 50 in Colorado Saturday night

PONCHA SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Snowy conditions Saturday night in the mountains of Colorado closed a busy highway in both directions.

Just before 7 p.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation announced Highway 50 was closed in both directions between Poncha Springs and Sargents due to weather conditions.

At about 8:20 the highway was then closed from Monarch to Sargents because of a crash.
