Guilford County inmate “erroneously released,” arrest report says

Another inmate was “mistakenly released from jail” (Guilford County), according to an arrest report. According to the report, Jessie Steed, 38, of Lexington was “mistakenly released from jail while still serving a sentence.” High Point police arrested Steed without incident on Westchester Drive around 6 p.m. Thursday. Steed was initially charged with aggravated assault. WXII has reached out to multiple law enforcement agencies about this incident. “The incident did not occur on behalf of the Guilford County Sheriff's Office,” a spokesperson for the agency said in response to our inquiries.
