Erik Menendez reacts to Ryan Murphy's Menendez Brothers series

Eric Menendez speaks out against Robert F. Kennedy's series about him and his brother Lyle Menendezwho are serving life sentences for the murder of their parents in 1989.

Erik shared his thoughts on Monster: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez in a message his wife Tammi Menendez shared on X, formerly Twitter, on September 19, the day the show premiered on Netflix.

“I thought we had moved beyond the lies and devastating character portrayals of Lyle, creating a caricature of Lyle based on horrific and obvious lies that were rampant on the show,” Erik said. “I can only believe they were done on purpose. It is with a heavy heart that I have to say that I believe Ryan Murphy cannot be so naive and inaccurate about the facts of our lives to do this without malicious intent.”

E! News has reached out to Murphy and Netflix for comment on the 53-year-old's comments, but has not received a response.
