Man arrested in connection with sexual abuse of 13-year-old girl

Brockton police said an arrest was made following a reported sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl. Police said the teen was walking home from West Middle School on Tuesday when a man approached her in the driveway of 279 West Elm St. The girl managed to escape after a brief struggle and took refuge in her home, police said. Brockton police said Markenson Beuge, 21, of Easton, was arrested Friday night. School police executed a search warrant at 20 Cherry Street in Brockton on Friday night, according to a police spokesman. Police said Beuge was taken into custody and transported to the Brockton Police Department. A judge will formally charge Beuge with sexual assault in court next week, the police spokesman said.

Brockton police said 21-year-old Markenson Beuge of Easton was arrested Friday evening.

According to a police spokesman, school police executed a search warrant for 20 Cherry Street in Brockton on Friday evening.

According to police, Beuge was arrested and taken to the Brockton Police Department.

A judge will officially charge Beuge with sexual assault next week, the police spokesman said.
