Shabu and firearms worth 387,000 pesos are seized during the arrest of seven drug suspects

LUCENA CITY – Police in the provinces of Rizal and Cavite arrested seven drug suspects and seized over P387,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm during operations on Saturday and Sunday (September 21 and 22).

Police in Region 4A reported that police officers acting as part of “Oplan Sita,” a routine anti-crime inspection, stopped motorcycle rider “Jonathan” at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay (village) Daang Amaya 1 in Tanza, Cavite after receiving a report that the rider was threatening village guards with a gun.

During a body search, police found that the suspect was carrying an unregistered .45 pistol with three bullets and eight ten-gram bags of shabu worth PHP 68,000.

Police also confiscated the suspect's motorcycle, which had no license plate.

In Rizal, “Ranel” was arrested by drug agents in Taytay City after he sold shabu to an undercover police agent during a raid in Barangay Muzon around 4 a.m. on Saturday.

During the transaction, drug user “Jannah” appeared and also bought shabu from Ranel. The police also arrested Jannah.

A total of 30 grams of meth worth about P204,000 was seized from the two drug suspects.

Police officers in Rodriguez City arrested “Patrick” in an undercover operation in Barangay San Rafael at around 8:25 p.m.

The suspect was caught with five packets of shabu worth PHP 68,000.

Meanwhile, police officers in Cainta City arrested the men “Gemma,” “Jimmy,” and “Ryan” in an operation in Barangay San Andres on Saturday at around 4:50 p.m.

Eighteen bags of shabu worth PHP 47,600 were found on the suspects.

All suspects are in police custody and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, 2002.
