WATCH: Lizard spotted on track in Singapore as FP3 red-flagged

The third and final practice session in Singapore was interrupted early after a lizard entered the track.

When the green light turned green for the start of FP3, things got off to a quiet start on the Marina Bay Street Circuit, with Aston Martin duo Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll initially having the track to themselves.

That didn't last long, however, as a lizard joined the party after being spotted on the racetrack.

It didn't help that the reptile had decided that the middle of the track near the pit entrance was the best place to be on a Saturday evening, while Alonso drove into the pits to avoid the animal.

As a result, the session was red-flagged while marshals attempted to move the reptile to safety. Click on the video above to see the lizard and Daniel Ricciardo's reaction…
