Gypsy Rose Blanchard describes the ‘magical’ moments of her pregnancy as she enters the second trimester

Gypsy Rose Blanchard loves the second trimester of pregnancy!

The 33-year-old Louisiana native revealed that she had started feeling her little one's kicks and described the moments as “magical” and “the exciting part of pregnancy.”

“I started feeling her kicking a lot. I started feeling these movements, and I started noticing some sort of sleeping pattern,” Gypsy said in a new YouTube video posted to her channel on Wednesday, Sept. 18. “So I noticed she kicks a lot at night, somewhere between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., and during the day she's more quiet.”

The former prison inmate also stated that her baby was “more active when eating sweets.”

“So, I ate a KitKat bar and she was awake for about two hours and kicked me about every five seconds. I'm getting used to it,” Gypsy continued. “Sometimes I say, 'OK, stop moving,' but when she stops moving and sort of goes to sleep, that's when I start to actually miss her movements.”

The expectant mother then also described some of the more “unexpected” symptoms of her pregnancy.

“I noticed about two weeks ago that my thighs were starting to go numb. This happens when I stand for a long time or lie on my side, that is, when I sleep on my side for too long,” Gypsy explained.

She added that the sensation in her thighs ranges from “tingling and numbness” to a “burning sensation.” Not knowing that this could be a pregnancy symptom, Gypsy looked for more information about it.

“Not everyone gets it, but it's a form of neuropathy caused by pregnancy,” Gypsy continued.

Gypsy also described some of her cravings during pregnancy, the biggest of which was her newfound love of applesauce.

“My baby will love applesauce because I've never eaten applesauce like I do now,” explained the expectant mother of one. “Before I got pregnant, I never touched applesauce. Now I always have two packages of it in the fridge.”

Gypsy and friend Ken Urker announced in July that she was expecting baby No. 1 when she posted a YouTube video on her channel.

“I am happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant. Ken and I are expecting our very first child in January 2025,” Gypsy said in the video uploaded on July 9. “We are both very excited. This was not planned at all. It was completely unexpected.”

Gypsy kept her fans updated throughout her pregnancy and she and Ken, 31, announced in August that they were having a baby girl.

“The moment you've all been waiting for… It's a girl!” Gypsy told her followers on social media at the time. “Ken and I are overjoyed and so excited to start our family. We are so thankful for our friends, neighbors and family who came to our party today! We also want [to] thank you all for your love and support!”
