Ballston man arrested on multiple charges after alleged driving aggression incident

A Ballston man was arrested on multiple weapons charges following an alleged road rage incident.

According to a press release, on August 28 at approximately 3:05 p.m., New York State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol received a complaint that a handgun had been displayed during a road rage incident. After investigating, authorities determined that 25-year-old Aaron J. Delano was involved in the area of ​​Interstate-787 in Colonie, where he allegedly brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim.

Police said the handgun believed to be involved was later found in Delano's vehicle and confiscated. In addition, Delano was found to be illegally in possession of several firearms and high-capacity magazines at his Ballston home.

Delano was arrested at his home, authorities said, and taken to SP Latham where he was charged with the alleged DUI incident. He is charged with three counts of third-degree illegal possession of a weapon, one count of second-degree illegal possession of a weapon, second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing.

According to a press release, Delano was arraigned in Colonie Town Court and Malta Town Court and released in both cases under the supervision of the respective local probation departments.
