With just a few seconds left until the end of overtime, Baylor had a chance to score the tying touchdown with a two-yard run.

But then the Buffaloes appeared to force a fumble, which was reviewed, but Colorado fans had already stormed the field.

The stadium announcer asked them to leave before the referees ruled the ball a fumble and the fans stormed off again.

Sanders apologized for the fan intrusion that prevented him from shaking hands with Baylor head coach Dave Aranda.

Colorado's head coach said: “This is unprofessional.

“I wanted to shake his hand and express my appreciation.”

The chaos at the end arose after Baylor running back Dominic Richardson tried to score a touchdown

Superstar and NFL Draft candidate Travis Hunter stood in the way and was able to deliver a brutal shot that forced the ball out of bounds.

The ball bounced into the end zone and was picked up by the Buffaloes, but the play was reviewed by the referees.

The fans stormed the pitch, but the game was not officially over yet.

They said: “Ladies and gentlemen, please leave the field, the game is under review.”

However, the decision on the field remained the same and Buffalo emerged victorious with 38:31.

College football restructuring 2024

The move of Oklahoma and Texas from the Big 12 to the SEC is one of the biggest changes in college football in recent times.

And that set off a chain reaction that decimated the Pac-12 Conference.

The Pac-12 has lost ten of its twelve members and now consists only of Oregon State and Washington State.

Four of these teams are on their way to the Big 12 – Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah.

Another four go to the Big 10 – Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington.

And the other two teams, California and Stanford, will join the ACC conference.

No team has left the SEC, Big Ten or ACC.

All this happened after Shedeur Sanders scored a Hail Mary to tie the game at the end of regulation time and send the game into overtime.

But head coach Sanders and the Buffaloes were criticized for the invasion incident at the end of the game.

One fan said on social media: “Void the game and let it be replayed another time.”

Another added: “The fact that the goalposts fell over before the game was abandoned is crazy.”

And one raged: “Colorado fans storm the field and say: 'It's over when WE say it's over!'”

And one commented: “This is insane.”
