Fatal accident on I-30 in Dallas County led to the closure of several lanes on Sunday morning

A section of Interstate 30 near Buckner Boulevard in Dallas County was closed due to a fatal accident on Sunday morning.

According to a post from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office on X, all eastbound traffic on I-30 at the US 80 offramp was detoured because of the accident.

The accident occurred at about 6 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation, and officers were still on scene investigating as of 9 a.m.

Further details about the accident – such as how many people died and how many vehicles were involved – were not immediately available.
