Person accused of stealing and crashing an ambulance in Schenectady must appear in court

Defendant Adam Cole, who is accused of stealing an ambulance in Cobleskill and causing an accident in Schenectady a few weeks ago while under the influence of drugs, is expected to appear in court.

He is accused of assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of stolen goods.

He was also issued a ticket for driving under the influence of drugs.

The 25-year-old is said to have stolen the ambulance after telling paramedics that there was a second medical emergency nearby.

Cole led investigators on a chase and eventually left the patient at a gas station.

The chase ended after Cole collided with another car at the corner of Eastern and Brandywine Avenue.
