Knife attacks across Philadelphia leave five injured – NBC10 Philadelphia

Police in Philadelphia are investigating after at least five people were hospitalized following multiple stabbing attacks across the city overnight.

According to police, the first incident occurred around 11:28 p.m. Saturday night in the 6600 block of Gillespie Street in the Tacony neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia.

Two women, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, were each stabbed in the hand, officials said.

Both women were taken to a nearby hospital where their condition is stable, police officials said.

According to authorities, no arrests were made and no weapons were seized in this incident.

About half an hour later, at around 12:02 a.m. Sunday, police officers responded to a 911 call about a stabbing at a home in the 1400 block of South Mole Street in the Point Breeze neighborhood.

In this incident, officers said, when they arrived, they found a 38-year-old man who had suffered four stab wounds to the back and a 28-year-old man who had suffered stab wounds to the shoulder and back.

According to police, both men were taken to a nearby hospital where their condition was described as stable.

Officials said a weapon was seized in this incident. The two men are being held pending police investigations.

In another incident early Sunday, a woman was stabbed during a robbery in the Kensington neighborhood, police said.

In that incident, officials said, a 43-year-old woman was stabbed during a robbery in the 3500 block of Kensington Avenue at around 2:08 a.m.

Officials said the woman suffered stab wounds to her upper body and was taken by emergency personnel to a nearby hospital, where her condition was listed as serious.

As of Sunday afternoon, the police had not arrested anyone in connection with this incident and had not seized any weapons. However, the investigation is still ongoing, they said.
