Plymouth man faces multiple charges in fatal Massachusetts highway crash – Fall River Reporter

A Plymouth, Massachusetts man who was allegedly involved in a fatal highway crash in Massachusetts is set to go on trial.

According to Massachusetts State Police Officer Tim McGuirk, members of the State Police from Bourne Barracks and Plymouth Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of a three-car crash on Route 3 South in Plymouth at mile marker 5.8 at approximately 10:30 p.m. on August 30.

Police found a woman in her late 20s who had been thrown from a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 30-year-old Anthony Bradley of Plymouth. Emergency services took the woman to a nearby location, from where she was airlifted to a Boston hospital. The woman died of her injuries at the Boston hospital.

Multiple requests to the Massachusetts State Police and the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office to identify the deceased woman remained unanswered.

Bradley suffered serious injuries that required hospitalization at Beth Israel Plymouth and was airlifted to a Boston hospital for further treatment.

Massachusetts State Police stated that preliminary information from witnesses indicates that Bradley may have been racing another vehicle at the time of the crash. While traveling at a high rate of speed on the shoulder, Bradley's Jeep struck a Mini Cooper in the right lane that he was passing on his left, according to witnesses. The Jeep overturned as a result of the crash, struck a third vehicle while crossing the highway, and came to a stop between the left passing lane and the median.

The driver of a third vehicle, a Dodge Charger, allegedly involved in the incident, turned himself in to authorities on August 31.

Bradley faces several charges in connection with the accident, including reckless homicide by motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to yield to the emergency lane, speeding and failure to respect marked lanes.

He is due to appear in Plymouth District Court on Tuesday. For medical reasons, he is currently unable to appear.
