AP Top 25: Tennessee moves up to 5th place, Missouri drops out of the top 10

Tennessee is now in the top five.

The Vols moved up to No. 5 in the AP Top 25 on Saturday night after an easy win over previously ranked No. 15 Oklahoma. Oklahoma's offense struggled against Tennessee's defense, making the game a mere formality for much of the second half.

The Sooners dropped six spots to 21st after QB Jackson Arnold was replaced mid-game by true freshman Michael Hawkins.

The top four teams ahead of Tennessee remained the same as Texas, Georgia, Ohio State and Alabama continue to hold the top four spots. The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide had no chance before their Week 5 game. Texas beat Louisiana-Monroe in Arch Manning's first start and Ohio State had an easy win over Marshall.

Missouri dropped four spots from No. 7 to No. 11 after a double-overtime home win over Vanderbilt. After scoring nothing in the first two games of the season, the Tigers beat Boston College 27-21 in Week 3 and then needed a missed field goal to escape with a 30-27 victory over the Commodores.

Ole Miss is ranked No. 6 after swapping spots with the Volunteers and is followed by Miami, Oregon, Penn State and Utah rounding out the top 10. The Utes moved into the top 10 after a win at Oklahoma State without QB Cameron Rising on Saturday. Rising was unable to play after suffering a right hand injury in Week 2 against Baylor.

Kansas State dropped 10 spots from 13th to 23rd after a crushing loss to BYU. The Cougars are now 22nd after the 38-9 win. Michigan is behind Missouri at 12th and rose six spots after the home win against USC. The Trojans dropped two spots to 13th after the 27-24 loss.

In addition to Georgia and Alabama, there are three other seeded games in Week 5. Penn State plays No. 19 Illinois, No. 15 Louisville visits No. 16 Notre Dame and No. 20 Oklahoma State faces Kansas State.
