Packers lead against Titans, Denver Broncos beat Tampa Bucs

Eagles player Lane Johnson out due to concussion

The Eagles' offense is already weak today, and now they are also without one of their key players.

Right tackle Lane Johnson is out for the remainder of tonight's game against the Saints with a concussion.

The Vikings defense crushes the Texans

Minnesota leads Houston 14-0 at halftime and its defense dominates.

The Texans are averaging just 3.8 yards per play, and phenomenal quarterback CJ Stroud has thrown just 94 yards and one interception.

As great as Sam Darnold has been so far this year, Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores deserves credit as well. This is the second week in a row he's faced a serious offensive challenge, and Minnesota's defense was up to the task.

Giants 21, Browns 7: Malik Nabers 5-yard catch

Malik Nabers had a good game. He scored two touchdowns before halftime.

Eagles and Saints play a defensive game

This was the most important game of the first transfer window and a surprisingly defensive contest.

The Saints have had the best offense in the NFL over the past two weeks, but were only able to score three points in the first half. The Eagles were a little more successful moving the ball, but Jalen Hurts had two turnovers. Philadelphia also lost the ball on a punting attempt just before halftime when they tried to convert a 4th-and-1 instead of kicking a short field goal.

Philly's defense has really stepped up. New Orleans has only 71 yards at halftime and is averaging a meager 2.6 yards per play. Derek Carr has thrown for 51 yards, a far cry from the numbers he posted in video games over the first two weeks.

Broncos 17, Buccaneers 7: 6-yard catch by Chris Godwin

The Bucs finally score a goal before halftime.

Giants 14, Browns 7: Malik Nabers 3-yard catch

What a catch by Malik Nabers that gave the Giants the lead in Cleveland.

Colts 7, Bears 0: Jonathan Taylor's 29-yard run

The Colts broke a scoreless tie in Indy.

Another game with multiple turnovers for Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts has an interception and a fumble today. He lost the ball three times in Week 1 and threw an interception in Philly's Week 2 win.

Although Hurts has looked better physically at times – he ran the ball really well last week – the turnovers are concerning. When the Eagles got to the Super Bowl in 2022, he had just 6 interceptions. This year, he's already reached more than half that total after less than three complete games.

Steelers 7, Chargers 7: 5-yard run by Justin Fields

The Steelers offense scores its second touchdown of the season.

Vikings 14, Texans 0: 8-yard catch by Aaron Jones

Sam Darnold already has two touchdown passes today.

Packers 17, Titans 7: Jaire Alexander chooses six

Will Levis' weekly devastating turnover leads to a Green Bay Packers touchdown.

Will Levis has already lost six turnovers this season

Will Levis' latest interception was not only a pick six, it was also his sixth turnover of the season and the Titans haven't even played three full games yet. Tennessee hasn't been an easy game to play to start the season. At the same time, Levis hasn't exactly inspired confidence, having to deal with some puzzling turnovers in every game so far.

Broncos play their best game of the season so far

The 0-2 Broncos have a two-touchdown lead over the 2-0 Buccaneers. This is a much-needed bounce-back from Denver, who looked so bad early in the season that people started to loudly question Sean Payton.

Bo Nix keeps things pretty clean, he's 5 of 6 for 72 yards. He ran for a score and made no mistakes.

Chargers 7, Steelers 0: 27-yard catch by Quentin Johnston

The Chargers are the first on the field in Pittsburgh.

Titans 7, Packers 7: 1-yard catch by Nick Vannett

The Titans equalized in Tennessee.

Vikings 7, Texans 0: Justin Jefferson catches a 6-yard pass

Minnesota takes an early lead in the duel of the undefeated teams.

Broncos 7, Buccaneers 0: 3-yard run by Bo Nix

Denver has an early lead over the undefeated Bucs.

Packers 7, Titans 0: 5-yard run by Malik Willis

Malik Willis scores a rushing touchdown against his former team.

Browns 7, Giants 0: Amari Cooper catches a 24-yard pass

After a Giants fumble on the opening kickoff, the Browns scored on their first play.

Rams struggle with numerous important injuries

After losing wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee) in Week 1, the Rams will now be without Cooper Kupp (ankle) for an “extended period of time,” who suffered an injury in Week 2. The Rams are now missing their two best receivers, three offensive linemen: Jonah Jackson (shoulder), Steve Avila (knee), Joe Noteboom (ankle), safety John Johnson III (shoulder) and cornerback Darious Williams.

“We've had some unfortunate twists of fate,” said head coach Sean McVay. “I've never experienced anything like this. This is unique, but it's also an opportunity for us to be what we want to be.”

Stefon Diggs returns to Minnesota

In the NFL you can go home again.

Lamar Jackson owns the NFC East

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has dominated the NFC in his NFL career … he has a 20-1 overall record in 21 starts against the NFC, including eight consecutive wins in games he started as QB (5-0 in 2023).

The Saints are the NFL's biggest surprise

New Orleans is undefeated after dominating the Panthers in Week 1 and then shocking the Cowboys in Week 2. In both meetings, they scored more than 40 points and allowed fewer than 20 points.

The Saints have scored a touchdown on each of their first 15 possessions this season. The team is seeing a resurgence of veteran quarterback Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara, who scored four touchdowns last week (3 rushing, 1 receiving). Kamara leads the NFL in scoring after two weeks.

“I know it's not going to be perfect, but I'm going to try everything I can think of to get better this year,” Carr told reporters this week.

Ravens face a 0-3 defeat

The Ravens have only started 0-3 once in franchise history (2015), but that could happen again on Sunday when Baltimore plays Dallas.

“We have to keep hitting the rock and the rock will break,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. “That's our job, to keep hitting, not get discouraged and not think it's all for nothing. We have to keep working and our reward will be in the future… We're not going to let everyone define us by saying we're not good or that the season is over after two games.”

Jordan Love is officially inactive

After participating in limited practice during the week, Packers quarterback Jordan Love is out for tonight's game against the Titans.

Here are some other notable active/inactives:

Chargers do the work on the ground

Led by new offensive coordinator Greg Roman, the Chargers have averaged 395 rush yards this season (second most in the league after two games behind the Packers), including more than 175 rush yards in back-to-back games for the first time since 2007.

Running back JK Dobbins, signed in the offseason, leads the NFL in rushing with 266 yards (an average of 9.9 yards per run) at the start of Week 3.

Open questions for Will Levis

Tennessee's starting quarterback has had an inconsistent start to the season. Levis has two passing touchdowns and five turnovers (most in the NFL) in the first two games of the season.

Titans head coach Brian Callahan was caught on camera yelling, “What the hell are you doing?” after he broke the ball during a Week 2 loss to the Jets.

“I don't regret my feelings or how I felt in the moment,” he said Monday. “I just think I can do better. Just like I ask my players to control their emotions, I should probably control mine a little bit, too.”

The Titans want to avoid a 0-3 start for the first time since 2009.

Tampa Bay's Baker Mayfield is having a successful season

The undefeated Buccaneers have thrived this season thanks in large part to Mayfield, who has now scored six total touchdowns (five of them passing) with just one pick.

“We have to build the chemistry and develop the resilience and culture that we want,” he said after his team beat the Lions in Detroit in Week 2. “This is a huge win for us and we have to continue to build on that.”

Mayfield and Tampa Bay have a record of 8-2 in their last 10 games (including playoffs) since 2023.

Bears offense struggles with rookie QB

After two weeks, the Bears have the fewest passing yards, the second-fewest total yards (behind the Panthers), and the fifth-fewest rushing yards in the NFL.

“When it finally clicks and we're all in the same cylinder, it'll be good,” receiver DJ Moore said this week. “Right now, we're still building… It's going to be a road of ups and downs until we get the puzzle completely together.”

Caleb Williams, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, was hit 11 times in Week 2.

“I’m a little under the weather,” he admitted after the game.

Giants have Malik Nabers in their sights

If New York wants to pull out a win, they'll need to take advantage of rookie receiver Malik Nabers. The former LSU star, selected No. 6, had 10 catches for 127 yards and a score in Week 2. His 18 catches were the most by a Giant in a single game since 2016.

With his 25 goals this season, he is second in the league.

With 179.5 passing yards per game, the Browns are in the middle of the NFL.

NFL stars had a tough week 2

Week 2 wasn't kind to many stars. Check out this list of players who will miss at least several weeks of the season (via NBC Sports):
