JJ Watt hilariously congratulates his brother TJ Watt on his first child before the Steelers vs. Chargers game

Older brothers have no age limit. On Sunday, the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and current CBS analyst JJ Watt congratulated his younger brother, TJfor his and his wife's first pregnancy by giving him a baby-sized Steelers jersey that had “Dad” written on the back.

Just moments before JJ surprised his brother with the sweet gift, TJ talked about how he was trying to get himself in the mood before the Steelers took on the Los Angeles Chargers. Fittingly, TJ responded to his older brother's kind-hearted effort in a hilarious way.

“Thanks, man,” TJ said. “I appreciate you trying to mess with me. I really appreciate it. I'm going to go back and join you now.”

JJ and his colleagues in the studio had to laugh at the unexpected reaction. Nevertheless, JJ had the perfect answer ready.

“Hey, I had 10 sacks in 10 games after I [my son] Koa, I'm just saying,” Watt said. “We've seen a lot of great things. We could see some great things.”

In typical little brother fashion, TJ couldn't let his brother have the last laugh.

“We get it, JJ,” TJ said. “Keep staying motivated.”

Expansion of the Watt Dynasty

If JJ or TJ's children have even a fraction of the talent of their fathers, NFL fans will be entertained for years to come. JJ Watt holds the record for most tackles for loss (172), sacks (101), and forced fumbles (25) in Houston Texans history.

During his time with the organization, he led the league in sacks twice and in tackles for loss three years (2012, 2014, 2015). JJ won the Defensive Player of the Year award three times in his first five NFL seasons.

Unlike JJ, TJ is still building his legacy on the football field. Since being drafted in 2017, TJ has been named First-Team All-Pro four times and was the 2021 NFL Defensive Player of the Year. He also led the league in sacks in three different seasons.

TJ is off to another great start this season. In just two games, TJ has seven tackles, two sacks, a pass defense, and a fumble recovery. With any luck, the six-time Pro Bowler will add even more accolades to his illustrious resume this season.

At the time of this report, the Steelers and Chargers are in the second quarter. Tune in to the game on CBS.
