Caitlin Clark can't bring herself to worry about her MVP votes

Caitlin Clark is pretty indifferent about her placement in the 2024 WNBA MVP rankings.

On September 22, two-time Olympian A'Ja Wilson was officially named the league's Most Valuable Player for the third time in her career. The Las Vegas Aces player received the most votes on all 67 ballots cast by sportswriters and commentators, making her only the second WNBA player to be unanimously named MVP. Wilson had an undeniable season, becoming the first WNBA player to score 1,000 points in a single season and leading the league in total points, rebounds and blocks, among other broken records.

She's not the only player to receive recognition for her contributions to the league, however. Each year, a panel of sports journalists and commentators select their five favorites for Most Valuable Player, with each placement earning a certain number of points. And yes, star rookie Caitlin Clark was also in the mix.

Clark came in fourth behind Wilson (670 points), Minnesota Linx player Napheesa Collier (467 points) and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty (295 points), earning 130 points after receiving two third-place votes, 26 fourth-place votes and 22 fifth-place votes – an incredible feat for a freshman.
