Apparently Jerry Jones has amnesia of the recent Cowboys endured regular season beating

Sir, can you please be serious for five seconds?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke to 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday, and while his thoughts buried deep there may be some validity, one quote making the rounds in Cowboys Nation is so ridiculous it deserves to be highlighted.

Longtime local reporter Clarence Hill Jr. of All City DLLS tweeted a snippet so insensitive it bears highlighting. There's a “old Cowboys” feeling after Sunday's debacle at AT&T Stadium, the 2024 home opener, where the Cowboys were trounced 44-19 by the New Orleans Saints. Jones wants to dispel that feeling and has put his foot in it with his now-habitual failure to make media appearances.

Jerry Jones can see something positive in the Cowboys' embarrassing loss to the Saints: “If we have a problem, it's the fact that we've been a good to very good team with Mike for the last 4-5 years and we haven't done well in the playoffs. If you want to look at it that way, we should trade some challenges during the season for good playoffs.” – @1053thefan

Apparently Jones has read up on the events of Week 15 of last season in Buffalo, when the Bills dominated McCarthy's boys 31-10. Or Week 5, when Kyle Shanahan crushed the team 42-10.

While it is true that Dallas has been successful in the regular season, winning 12 games in each of the previous three seasons and is usually the team that blows out its opponents, it is remarkable that they somehow forget that they have now been blown out three times in their last 14 meetings.

No, Jerry, the fans don't want to see it that way. They would like to not lose like that AND also get postseason wins.
