Threat at Milwaukee-area school; 12-year-old Arizona girl arrested

A 12-year-old girl in Arizona has been arrested in connection with a recent threat at a Milwaukee-area school.

Buckeye police said Sunday, Sept. 22, they were contacted by Milwaukee police about an investigation into a threat at a school in the area. Milwaukee police had found an IP address linked to a home in Buckeye, Arizona.

Buckeye police officers went to the home, questioned the 12-year-old and seized evidence. Buckeye police said she was arrested on serious crimes, including terroristic threats.

The BPD said there have been no threats against Buckeye schools and there is no danger to their city.

It is currently unclear which local school was the target of the threat and what connection the girl has to that school.
