Renato Moicano celebrates comeback against Jalin Turner

Jalin Turner seemed to be about to beat Renato Moicano at UFC 300, but then a tactical error cost him the win.

Moicano (19-5-1 MMA, 11-5 UFC) will face Benoit Saint Denis (13-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 243 next Saturday from Accor Arena in Paris (ESPN+), the first headliner of his promotional career, a spot he earned with a grueling comeback win over Turner at the monumental UFC 300 event in April.

Turner came out of the fight strong, hurting Moicano while standing and using his striking power to knock him down. However, instead of pouncing on his downed opponent, Turner attempted a walk-off highlight. However, the fight was not stopped and Moicano regained his composure and made it to the next round, where he took the fight to the mat and finished with a ground-and-pound TKO.

With this result, Moicano has now won three fights in a row and increased his record to 6-1 since moving up from featherweight to lightweight. His reward was a main event on hostile territory, as he will next face Frenchman Saint Denis in a winner-takes-all fight.
