Rams fight back and beat 49ers, Cowboys lose again | News

NFC champions San Francisco gave up a 14-point lead and lost 27-24 to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, while the Dallas Cowboys suffered their second consecutive NFL home loss.

The Rams staged a thrilling comeback in the fourth quarter and handed the 49ers their first loss of the season. With two seconds left, Joshua Karty scored a 37-yard field goal to secure the win.

The Cowboys' problems continued and they lost 25-28 to the Baltimore Ravens, leaving them only 1-2 despite a late comeback attempt.

The “Niners”, cheered on by numerous traveling fans at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, got off to a lightning start in the first quarter and scored two touchdowns – both scored by Brock Purdy on a hit from Jauan Jennings.

The Rams stayed in the game thanks to a 15-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to Kyren Williams, but Purdy found Jennings again midway through the third quarter with a 31-yard pass to make it 21-7.

But then the Rams started their comeback with a 3-yard rushing score from Williams.

They were still down 10 points with 6:15 left in the game, but a field goal from Karty narrowed the deficit before Stafford threw a 50-yard pass to Tutu Atwell and Williams ran in from four yards out to tie the game.
