Kathryn Crosby died: Bing Crosby’s widow and “Anatomy of a Murder” star turned 90

Kathryn Crosby, a singer and actress who was married to singer and actor Bing Crosby, has died. She was 90. A family spokesman said Kathryn died of natural causes at home in Hillsborough, California, on Friday night, September 20, according to the Associated Press. Kathryn was born Olive Kathryn Grandstaff in West Columbia, Texas, on November 25, 1933. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and began her career in Hollywood after a beauty pageant landed her an audition with William Holden, according to Variety. She also wrote a showbiz column for her hometown newspaper and met Bing during a visit to the set of White Christmas. Kathryn and Bing married in 1957 and remained married until his death in 1977.
