Police respond to Sunday's Taser incident in West El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – Multiple police agencies responded to a Taser incident along Doniphan and Sunland Parks in West El Paso Sunday evening.

The Texas Department of Public Safety, El Paso Police, El Paso Fire Department and U.S. Border Patrol were on scene and surrounded a dark pickup truck.

ABC-7 teams saw more than a dozen police vehicles and a man taken into custody around 7 p.m.

According to the fire department's operations center, it was a “Taser” incident; no one was taken to the hospital.

In response, several lanes in the area were closed.

ABC-7 is working to obtain more information.
