VTA murder suspect identified as colleague

SAN JOSE, California. – Authorities have arrested a man suspected of killing a VTA employee at the Chaboya Bus Yard on Friday night.

Duc Minh Bui was arrested by Santa Clara County Sheriff's officers at his San Jose home at around 12:15 p.m. Authorities claim Bui, who also worked with the victim at VTA, is “solely responsible for the victim's death.”

The 33-year-old was taken to the Santa Clara County Main Jail and charged with first-degree murder.

The shooting occurred around 9:40 p.m. on South Seventh Street.

A motive has not yet been determined.
