FHP chase ends in six-vehicle crash and two arrests: NorthEscambia.com

Two suspects were arrested on multiple charges after a Florida Highway Patrol chase ended Saturday afternoon when the suspect collided with five other vehicles.

The accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. on North 12th Avenue south of East Jordan Street in Escambia County.

According to FHP, a blue Nissan Altima was fleeing a traffic stop when it collided with five other vehicles and other property. There were no serious injuries in the accident.

The driver, 25-year-old Antione Lamar Smith (pictured below left), was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, and trafficking in fentanyl. The passenger, 21-year-old Tariq Jameel Watson (pictured below right), was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, and trafficking in fentanyl.

Smith remained in the Escambia County Jail without bail. Watson was held on $57,500 bail.
