Police save toddler in New Hampshire from drug overdose

First responders rescued a 9-month-old child in Claremont, New Hampshire, after a suspected fentanyl overdose. Claremont Safety Services was dispatched to the area of ​​Main and Union Streets on Thursday for an infant who had overdosed in a vehicle. Police believe the child ingested fentanyl. Police administered a life-saving dose of Narcan before the child was taken to Valley Regional Hospital for emergency care. The child was later transported to Dartmouth Health by helicopter. Claremont officers and detectives later assisted Charlestown police with the investigation, as the suspected ingestion occurred at a residence in their community. Police say criminal charges will be filed soon against an adult who was in the home with the child at the time of the ingestion.
