FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – A man was arrested in Fall River on Saturday after police say he fired shots at a couple’s vehicle.

Miguel Acosta Montalvo, 35, faces a long list of charges after authorities received reports of possible shots fired at the Riverside Sports Bar on Rodman Street around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

During the investigation, officers discovered that Montalvo had allegedly attempted to provoke a man and a woman with whom he had previously had an altercation at another location.

Once he apparently left the area, the parties attempted to quickly leave in their vehicle, but Montalvo allegedly returned and fired several shots in the direction of the victim's vehicle.

According to police, no one was hit by the shots.

While officers attempted to stop Montalvo, his car crashed into three parked vehicles.

He was eventually arrested and charged with possession of a firearm without an FID, possession of ammunition without an FID, assault with a dangerous weapon (3 counts), leaving the scene of an accident causing damage to property (3 counts), failure to stop for police, armed assault with the nature of murder (3 counts), and drinking while under the influence of alcohol.

Officers said they found a gun nearby on the sidewalk of Roadman Street.
