Starkville man arrested for burglary and grand theft

On Friday evening, September 20, Starkville Police arrested Draper Manning, 42, of Starkville, for residential burglary, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and disorderly conduct – failure to obey regulations. Manning was arrested on Long Street after fleeing from officers on foot.

According to police, Manning stole a vehicle from an apartment complex on Long Street, drove to another complex on Louisville Street and broke into a home that was occupied at the time.

Authorities confirmed that Manning and the victims knew each other.

Manning was taken to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
