It was a special moment for Carson Steele's family to see his first start for the Chiefs against the Falcons | SI.com

What a special moment.

Carson's sister reportedly sent out a save-the-date invitation over a year ago, and Carson was set to be best man at her wedding. The Chiefs running back was obviously needed elsewhere, however, as Kansas City looked to score its third win of the season and a coveted third straight at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday.

Taylor Swift fans in uproar over Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce post | Mirror

Swift praised Kelce's unwavering support of her musical journey while accepting the Best Video of the Year award at the VMAs. “Whenever I would finish a take and say cut and we would finish that take, I would always hear someone from across the studio cheering and yelling 'Whoo,'” she recalled.

“And that one person was my friend Travis. Everything that man touches turns into happiness, fun and magic.”

Fans flooded the Chiefs comment section Instagram Post to applaud the minds behind the witty caption of Kelce's pregame ensemble. “Whoever the admin is, I LOVE YOU,” one user gushed, while another urged, “Please give that intern a raise.”

Social media users are heaping praise on the internet administrators, with one fan saying, “This caption is perfect,” and another adding, “All the best to the administrator, the caption really did you good.”

Chiefs fans express frustration over their team's short-yardage woes | KC Star

The Chiefs were forced to kick a field goal despite moving the ball to the Falcons' 3-yard line at one point. It was the only time in the game that the Chiefs found themselves in a goal-to-go situation.

Another drive, which began after an interception at the Falcons' 34-yard line, ended in a field goal when the Chiefs gained only 8 yards. During the game, Chiefs fans took to social media to share their frustration with the team's play in short-yardage situations and in the red zone (the Chiefs scored two touchdowns on four attempts inside the 20 yards).

NFL fans question referees after controversial indecision by Cook and Pitts in Chiefs vs. Falcons game | Bleacher Report

This is the second week in a row that the Chiefs benefited from the referees, as a defensive pass interference penalty helped them score a game-winning field goal in their Week 2 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fans are getting fed up with the fact that the reigning Super Bowl champions are apparently getting support from the referees and have expressed their displeasure on social media.

Travis Kelce shows off extremely rare Air Jordans at Chiefs game | SI.com

Kelce was dressed like a true rock star. While the designer suit was impressive, it was his vintage Air Jordan sneakers that caught the attention of sports fans.

Kelce wore the Air Jordan 3 in the “Legends of Summer” colorway. The sneakers were originally released in extremely limited quantities in September 2013 for $210. The old-school shoes are so exclusive that they are hard to find on popular sneaker resale websites.

Antonio Pierce: Raiders made “business decisions” in shocking home loss to Panthers | NFL.com

Pierce was generally unimpressed with Las Vegas' performance, but was highly critical of his club's leadership.

“I think as the game went on, it wasn't the team,” Pierce said. “I think there were definitely some individuals who made business decisions and we'll continue to make business decisions going forward.”

When asked what positives he could draw from the defeat, Pierce quickly replied: “Nothing.”

Officials in the Raiders locker room weren't sure who Pierce was talking about, but agreed with their head coach that Sunday's performance wasn't good enough.

Roberts' sack of Herbert appeared to heal an ankle sprain Herbert suffered last week against the Carolina Panthers. Herbert was initially listed as questionable before Sunday but was active before the game.

Herbert was taken to the medical tent for further evaluation. During the third quarter break, the Chargers announced that Herbert's return was officially questionable. After the game, Herbert wore a walking boot, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic.

Before his injury, Herbert had completed 12 of 18 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown, and the Chargers were tied 10-10 with the Steelers.

NFL rankings: Where the 49ers stand after their collapse against the Rams | Yahoo Sports

If there is one thing to take away from the first three weeks of the 2024 NFL season, it is that the mantra “any Sunday” couldn’t be truer.

Sam Darnold and the all-powerful (?) Minnesota Vikings continued to be successful. Derek Carr and the New Orleans Saints offense had to give in, while two Super Bowl contenders were at the center of two epic comeback attempts.

Here's where the 49ers and the rest of the league stand before Monday night's doubleheader:

8 NFL Draft prospects we liked in Week 3

DE Kyle Kennard, South Carolina

South Carolina's defensive line has been one of my favorite units to watch so far this season. It's full of elite athletes who go full steam ahead on the passer. South Carolina was able to consistently apply pressure and close the pocket against LSU, which has two elite tackle talents and one of the best offensive lines in the country.

Their absolute newcomer, Dylan Stewart, looks like an absolute superstar, but Kyle Kennard also impressed me. Kennard played four years at Georgia Tech before moving to South Carolinaand that move seems to have paid off. He plays with a lot of length and power and crushes the pocket with great effort. He's not very mobile, but his power and length allow him to play through a tackle's chest and create constant havoc.
