WWE Hall of Famer signs new contract with the promotion

A member of the WWE Hall of Fame has extended his contract with the promotion.

Over the past few weeks, fans have seen a flood of Legends contract signings, or the new “Nostalgia” contracts. A new report from Fightful Select indicates that a WWE Hall of Famer and multiple world champion has renewed his “Legends” contract.

Mick Foley aka Mankind has extended his contract with the company. Although he is interested in a farewell fight, Foley was strongly advised not to take that route. However, he is said to not be quite done with wrestling yet.

Foley rarely appears on WWE television, but is still frequently used on merchandise, video games, action figures and other terms of the contract. The Undertaker's former nemesis is now scheduled to appear at “GCW Dream On” on November 23, 2024. The event will also feature another Hall of Famer, Kurt Angle.

WWE legend Mick Foley continues to appreciate former chairman Vince McMahon

At the Northern Ireland Comic-Con [via Monopoly Events]Mick Foley spoke about his relationship with Vince McMahon ahead of the Netflix documentary about the former WWE chairman. The wrestling legend stated that he is still grateful to Vince McMahon for everything he has done for him and will continue to do so until he learns more about the lawsuit.

I really liked him (Vince McMahon). I mean, my relationship with him was never the same after I left WWE and went to TNA for three years. But to this day, I still try to find an address to write to him, just to thank him, you know? For giving me a chance. I think we're all a combination of good and bad qualities and you hope that the good qualities outweigh the bad and it seems like Vince got that wrong for a while.

But I was there when he did good things. I saw him do good things. When I was writing books, I basically wanted to do a kind of chicken soup for the souls of wrestling fans about some of these really heartwarming moments, and he was like, “Um, Mick, I'm afraid that would come across as self-serving.” So he was someone who often did the right thing for the right reasons. I think it's a real shame that someone I care about would get dragged into something that seems pretty unsavory.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see that…but I think one fortunate thing is that whatever he did or didn't do, I don't think many of us let that mess up our memories. He was instrumental in creating some of those memories. So I'm going to cherish him until I know more about what may have happened.”
