LaVern “Vern” D. Kessenich | Obituaries

LaVern “Vern” Kessenich passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (née Manske).

He was greatly loved by his stepchildren Michelle Webb, Margaret Layo (Bill Budzien), Fredrick (Terese), Carolyn, Lawrence and the late William Manske.

He will be forever remembered by his siblings, James Kessenich (Carole), Darlene (the late William) Walter and Dick (Cynthia) Kessenich. He will also be dearly missed by his Florida family, other relatives and friends.

Vern graduated from Edgewood High School in Madison, Wisconsin. He retired from the Bell System (AT&T), where he worked for 38 years, and spent his final years playing golf and hanging out with friends in Naples, FL.

Gathering at St. Teresa of Calcutta North Lake Parish, W314 N7462 WI-83, Hartland, Friday, October 4, 2024, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Christian funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. Urn burial to follow at St. Claire Catholic Cemetery.
