Brawl on Lake Street leads to four knife attacks

Four men were stabbed in a late-night brawl on Lake Street in Minneapolis, one of whom suffered life-threatening injuries, officials said Monday.

The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of E. Lake Street, police said.

Officers dispatched to the scene found two men with stab wounds. Rescue workers took them to HCMC. One of the men suffered life-threatening injuries, the other was less seriously injured, police said.

Police said they then became aware of two men arriving at HCMC in vehicles who sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the same incident.

“Initial information suggests that there was a physical altercation with a larger group in which the four men were stabbed,” police said in a statement.

A woman was arrested when she arrived with one of the injured men, police said, adding that her involvement in the violence remains under investigation.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the four victims.
