If a tropical storm or hurricane were to form, that storm would become Helene, the eighth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.

Florida's Gulf Coast is likely to experience potential impacts mid- to late-week. Here in Georgia, impacts will depend on the storm's exact path.

Monahan says rain chances are expected to increase throughout the week as a cold front moves in west of Georgia.
