Teenager arrested after ramming two vehicles and fleeing from police | KLIN

A Lincoln teenager was arrested after he drove a stolen car into two vehicles near 51st and Calvert just before 4 a.m. Monday morning, according to a police report. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says officers responded after a woman reported someone was trying to steal her 2015 Toyota Camry and was ramming other vehicles in the process.

“The arriving officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle fled,” says Kocian. “The officers pursued the vehicle to a parking lot at the corner of 48th & Van Dorn, where the
The driver left the vehicle and fled on foot.”

Kocian says he was taken into custody after a brief foot chase. He was booked into the juvenile detention center on charges of criminal damage to property, theft by unauthorized taking, driving to elude arrest and obstruction of governmental functions.

According to police, a 2015 Chevy Silverado and a 2006 Subaru Forester were damaged.
