Dan Hooker wants to fight Conor McGregor after Michael Chandler moves on

Dan Hooker hopes to get a fight against Conor McGregor in the near future.

After Michael Chandler was booked to fight Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 in November, McGregor was left without an opponent. Although Chandler has said he is ready to face McGregor after the Oliveira duel, Hooker is making a case for the fight against the Irishman as both are currently without opponents.

“He's got a no-contest. I know Conor is hungry for a fight. He wants to fight someone he can get something from and who makes a lot of sense. So I feel like if Chandler just sits there and waits and doesn't stay active, he's kind of losing. What's the point of him beating Chandler? He knocks out Michael Chandler in the first round, Conor McGregor doesn't even make the top five despite that performance,” Hooker told Submission Radio.

Dan Hooker is also confused as to why Michael Chandler would leave Conor McGregor now after waiting so long, especially because of the rematch with Charles Oliveira. Hooker thinks it's a strange fight. But he's confident he can book a fight with the Irishman at his next appearance.
