WWE Hall of Famer expects “a lot of nonsense” in Vince McMahon documentary

A member of the WWE Hall of Fame is very skeptical about the upcoming Vince McMahon docuseries.

In just a few days, the highly anticipated Netflix docuseries about Vince McMahon will officially be released on the streaming platform after it was first announced in October 2020. Due to the events of the past four years, wrestling fans are very curious to see how McMahon will be portrayed in the series and what exactly will be covered.

Following the trailer's release, many fans online were concerned about how McMahon would be portrayed given the talking heads featured. Additionally, some have previously expressed concerns about accuracy, given wrestling's reputation for revisionist history and the team involved in producing the series.

At a virtual book signing for Signed by superstars, Hall of Famer Jake Roberts was asked if he would watch the upcoming series:

Possibly (I'm going to watch the Vince McMahon docuseries on Netflix). I'm going to wait and see how much truth there is… (The host mentioned that it could be “a lot of bullshit”). And that's what I expect.

Janel Grant's team holds briefing ahead of Vince McMahon documentary

Back in January 2024, McMahon resigned from all positions at WWE and TKO after being accused of sexual misconduct and human trafficking by his former employee Janel Grant. While it is unknown how detailed the series will be on the allegations, the lawsuit is referenced in the trailer. A few days before the series airs, Janel Grant's team made statements and answered questions from the media.
